A lot of people who are matcha police fuss about using ceremonial grade matcha for lattes and insist on using culinary grade instead. However, it's actually hard to find culinary grade matcha that tastes good and is high-quality enough to make a great latte. However, this one was a great find :)
This product pleasantly surprised me when I first tried it! It is genuinely tasty and potent for something graded as "culinary." I thought I’d need to use more powder than the usual measurement I use per serving since it’s "culinary grade", but that wasn’t the case at all!
I'm not very good yet at describing matcha flavor notes, but as a latte, I thought it was smooth, had a hint of roasted notes, and most importantly, left no bitter aftertaste.
It has complexity to its flavor profile that you would expect from ceremonial grade ones. I actually prefer it over a lot of the ceremonial grade matchas that I have tried due to a combination of its price, flavor and bitterness level.
I'll definitely be repurchasing once I finish my current one. Right now, it's my go-to affordable and high-quality "culinary grade" matcha for everyday lattes! :)

Good quality for a more basic ceremonial matcha, good for lattes

It's a good quality product. I'm just hoping can you pls. Offer bigger size non cafe shop.

Just tried my first cup and i am absolutely in love! Very affordable matcha in comparison to other brands I've tried and the matcha latte i made with this was heavenly! Once my tin is empty i will be buying more!!!

great everyday matcha

I love this Hojicha! So nutty and creamy just perfect! Love thid as a latte! I cant wait to experiment on different recipes/flavours!

Very great quality set. Matcha is very smooth and flavorful

This matcha is really smooth and flavorful.

So good and earthy but not overpowering. 10/10 with some agave

This hojicha is nutty smokey and delicious. I made a latte with it and added maple syrup as sweetener it and it tastes AMAZING. It smells and tastes very similar to the oolong milk tea at Kung fu tea which im absolutely obsessed with. I did get a very slight dry mouth/ powdery feeling after every sip but that could also be because i didnt whisk it well enough. First time trying hojicha and im so happy!!!

so good

I was already searching for an electric whisk, so when I saw this one on sale, I decided to give it a try. I have no complaints about it! It's easy to clean, charge, and use.

I'm usually a matcha girlie but I wanted to try hojicha so I can drink it later in the day. I think the flavor profile is really interesting. Nutty with a hint of roasted flavor and a little bit of burnt flavor. Absolutely a steal with what you get and the price!

I’ve never tried Genmaicha, But I’d seen others say if I liked Hojicha I would probably get into it. Compared to matcha and hojicha it has a very savory feel to me. For some reason the smell reminds me of Rice Krispies minus the sugar of that makes sense. I paired it with oat milk, and salted sugar syrup and it was so good

I have been using it for last 2 months. I like the texture , color and taste.
