Ingredients: 1 cup vegan whipped cream (we used cocowhip) ¾ cup silken tofu 1 tsp Midori Spring Hojicha Powder + more to garnish ½ cup hot water 2 vegan cookies (we used store bought)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, add your vegan whipped cream and silken tofu. Fold the tofu into the whipped cream until combined. Once ready, set aside in the freezer to keep chilled.
Brew your Hojicha in a bowl using hot water.
Place one vegan cookie in the Hojicha and let socal for 5 seconds. Remove and place in a serving glass.
Start filling your glass halfway and repeat step 3 with the remaining cookie. Fill your glass to the brim with your remaining whipped cream mixture.
I loved loved this matcha. It has a bold matcha flavour with a strong roasted nutty flavour. As someone who has tried a variety of brands, I like my matcha to be bolder. This is definitely one of my regular fav now!!!! If u want to up your matcha as ur bored with mild flavoured matcha this is a must try.
Lovely nutty and roasted flavor of hojicha that goes well with any type of nut milk. Personally, I love it with oatmilk, and it really brings out the flavor of the hojicha.

This was my first time trying Midori Spring matcha but I heard great things about it. For reference, I like matcha powders similar to Ippodo's Ikuyo and Rocky's cerimonial blend. This matcha was very fine as a powder and had no bitterness or astringency as a latte. This flavor was nutty, toasty, and vegetal. It was also very bold and stood out strong with the milk. I would definitely purchase this product again. ☺️
One of the best affordable matchas. I have been using Midori spring products from the past 6 months and they don’t disappoint. The emerald matcha has mellow earthy notes with slight umaminess. It's lighter in colour compared to their rare ceremonial grade matcha but a best option for daily matcha drinkers.
